Saint John is proud to partner with Boy Scout Troop 450. Troop 450 is an outdoor oriented troop enjoying monthly excursions to camp, hike, swim, fish, canoe, caving, zip line, as well as conduct service related projects. Saint John alum, Mitchell Frye recently completed his Eagle Scout project creating the Saint Francis of Assisi Prayer Garden. Located along the path to the environmental trail, the beautiful garden provides a space for students and teachers to pray outdoors.

Students in Grade 4 work with members of the parish to plant, harvest, and clean up the garden. Materials gathered during cleanup are placed in the compost bin. In the spring and summer months the garden grows fresh vegetables that supply the parish food pantry. |
